Props and Costumes

Costumes-

We have chosen for our protagonist to wear all white clothing (white jeans and top) to symbolize her innocence. This will inform the audience from the start of the trailer that this character is an innocent character who hasn't done anything wrong. We have then chosen to add a red scarf to the costume the red colour to symbolize the danger that she is about to encounter.

Props-

The first prop we decided on is a mobile phone that the female protagonist will use. This shows to the audience that the girl lives a normal social life, making her more relatable to other female teenagers in the audience.

Secondly we will need to use pencils and pens as our idea of the male character feeling left out and not having a childhood that he could draw with the pens and pencils some child looking drawings, which gives the audience a look into the story-line.

Similar to the prop of pen and pencils we also would use scissors to add some edge to the character. He will be cutting up some of the photos and sticking himself onto other family photos he is not in, this further giving the audience a glimpse of the story-line.

To do this we will have to have some old family photos to show the audience the past life of the female protagonist and how it doesn't involve the male character. This linking into Barthes Enigma code as it will leave the audience with many questions making them want to watch the film.
